Earth Networks Television (EnTV) was conceived almost two years ago to focus on the co-creation and grassroot development of conscious journalism globally. Based in the US and with a presence in Asia, the venture is a global interactive online and on-air media platform that allows people to post articles, create videoblogged news and short documentaries, read other writers? stories, engage in a forum, post pictures, create news reports, undertake investigative journalism and promote podcasted audio files.

EnTV positions itself as a content provider, developed in association with creative amateur and professional journalists with the aim of disseminating news, documentaries, public service announcements, video-blogs, podcasts and information on global social, environmental and NGO developments with a unique grassroot perspectives. EnTV will bring viewers not only the latest news but also the stories behind the headlines. EnTV's vision revolves around the sharing of fresh ideas, concepts, and information through journalism and technologies, so as to improve lives and the world at large by unraveling critical issues that are often overlooked, as well as the transfer of solutions via its programming.

EnTV is now set to launch a new web and television platform for amateur and professional journalists to develop, create and showcase uncensored multimedia content with a focus on major issues of the day and the successful implementation of solutions. Additionally, content and original television-quality programming will be showcased in a new reality magazine show called, "The Conscious Causes Show" - a one-hour television program that will be broadcast over PBS and other world television networks. The ultimate aim of EnTV is to establish a 24/7 global interactive channel driven by people and organizations at the center of the news. We are creating partnerships and new strategic alliances with multimedia-related companies worldwide and with global satellite, radio and television networks to distribute our aggregated original content.

EnTV is based upon the idea that the entertainment and media industries can play a critical role in assisting with the dissemination of new ideas, concepts, information and technologies to improve the lives of people through developing content and programming about various issues plaguing the world and the transfer of solutions that can resolve these challenges. The world in the 21st century faces emerging crises related to population growth, environmental challenges, climatic changes, economic pluralism, increasing poverty gaps, global terrorism and the increasing possibility of global civilizations spiraling into conflict.

Social or environmental activism and television journalism will support and develop various programs to address the journeys that various ordinary people are taking to improve the world we live in, inclusive of noted celebrities and personalities who are supporting the social changes they bring to far reaches of the world and to various communities in the US. Many issues have found various solutions due to the development of television and the expansion of the worldwide Internet, but no single television or global media company has focused on the development of a global channel that brings all of this great social and environmental entrepreneurship to the forefront. Countless large and small non-profit organizations and NGOs are toiling away around the world unnoticed. Some have gained exposure through television documentaries developed about the work they do, while others have developed movies illustrating the unique stories of the people behind social initiatives. The result of this is greater awareness of the issues involved and the consequent support to expand their work. However, numerous other organizations do not have the benefit of global media exposure for the excellent work they do. Seeing this need, Earth Networks is poised to become the premier platform of global communication to explore environmentally and socially themed causes and showcase solutions about global issues for a global audience.
